The IT Manager will be managing a large team and multiple team leaders who are providing both pre and post production support for clients. The IT Manager will be managing a team providing escalated levels of support for clients and internal departments, ensuring compliance standards and SLAs are adhered to throughout. To apply for the IT Manager role, you must have at least 5 years of previous experience within technical support, ideally at a supervisory level and ideally within financial services. The IT Manager will have an understanding of data transfer protocols and data communications (including TCP/IP, FTP/S, SFTP, IBM MQ) in addition to experience analysing business processes and activity. Experience with implementing compliance and regulatory adjustments and client/stakeholder management is not essential although is preferred. The IT Manager will have proven problem solving skills and a pro-active approach to business and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day activities linked to the company’s internal and external clients objectives across all product lines. This includes directing personnel, team morale and resource management responsibilities. Requires a solid understanding of various business lines, and an ability to provide innovative solutions to business problems.
Responsible for including but not limited to the following:

  • Support off-hour escalations
  • Disaster Recovery activities
  • Post deployment application check-outs
  • Potential to work holiday and weekends as necessary
  • Shift coverage when necessary due to team absences

Essential Skills:

  • Strong team management, communication, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • Strong knowledge of securities industry and systems environment
  • Ability to perform business process analysis and create efficient solutions
  • Ability to analyse business trends, identify improvements, and assess impact of actions on customers
  • Managing operational risk management framework, to help identify new risks or significant changes in risk as they apply to the new product and service
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated PC literacy and ability to work with desktop software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across varying functions and locations
  • Proven ability to synthesize detail and information related to day-to-day operations into the presentation of key points and trends
